The Hakaishin Beerus Arc (破壊神ビルス編 Hakaishin Birusu Hen?, literal meaning "Destruction God Beerus Arc")[1], also known as the Battle of Gods Arc (神と神編 Kami to Kami Hen?, literal meaning "God and God Arc", Funimation: "Battle of Gods Saga")[2], is the first arc in the Dragon Ball Super animation and comic. Sometime after the battle against Majin-Boo, Hakaishin Beerus awakens from his 39-year-slumber and searches for the Super Saiyan God that was prophesied to him.

Differences with the Anime and MangaEdit

  • In the anime, Goten and Trunks ventured to find Videl a gift. In the manga, Goten was with his father.
  • In the anime, Champa did not appear until Freeza was resurrected. In the manga, Champa appeared in Chapter 2, when Beerus was fighting Gokuh on North Kaioh's Planet.
  • In the manga, Kibito Kaiohshin used the Dragon Balls to separate into Shin and Kibito. In the anime, this happened after Freeza's demise.
  • In Chapter 4, Gokuh did not lose the form Super Saiyan God while fighting Beerus.
  • In the manga, after his battle with Gokou, Beerus told Gokou he was the second strongest he fought. In the anime, Beerus told Gokuh when they were looking for another member for their team against the 6th Universe.
  • In the manga, the Pilaf Gang did not attend Bulma's birthday party.

Differences with the Anime and MovieEdit

  • In the movie, Beerus woke up on the day of Bulma's birthday. In the anime, Beerus woke up sometime prior.
  • In the anime, Gokuh fought Beerus in all of his transformations before getting defeated as a Super Saiyan 3. In the movie, Gokuh displayed all three transformations but fought Beerus as a Super Saiyan 3.
  • In the anime, Bulma's birthday party was held on a ship. In the movie, it was held at Capsule Corporation.
  • In the movie, a Bingo tournament was held. In the anime, there was no Bingo tournament.
  • In the anime, Beerus almost got angry by Yamcha hitting him and Trunks accidentally spraying on him. In the movie, one of the bullets Gohan deflected from Mai's pistol hit Beerus.
  • In the movie, Bulma referenced Vegeta's brother Tarble when needing a sixth Saiyan to help with the Super Saiyan God ritual. In the anime, he was not referenced at all.
  • In the anime, Gokuh, as a Super Saiyan God, healed during their fight. In the movie, no healing abilities were mentioned.
  • When Gokuh lost his God form, he deformed into Super Saiyan in the anime. In the movie, he reverted to his base form but later transformed during the climax.

Differences with the Manga and MovieEdit

  • In the manga, Beerus wake up a day before Bulma's birthday.
  • In the movie, Gokuh was running, but in the manga, Gokuh was marching as he pulled a giant block.
  • In the movie, Gokuh did not fight Beerus in Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2.
  • The manga introduces character unrelated to Beerus's search for the Super Saiyan God.
  • The manga did not show the interactions of Beerus and the other's at Bulma's birthday party.
  • In the manga, Bulma's birthday party takes place on Princess Bulma, a ship. In the movie, Bulma's birthday party takes place at Capsule Corporation.
  • In the manga, Tenshinhan, No. 18, and Vegeta did not engage on Beerus after Boo made the God of Destruction angry.
  • In the manga, it was not established Gokuh absorbed the power of Super Saiyan God (unless Gokuh saying Super Saiyan God told him he only scratched the surface or Beerus told Gokuh to get stronger is Toyotarou's way).
  • In the manga, Kibitoshin was shown to have separated with the Nameccian Dragon Balls after Gokuh's battle with Beerus.
  • In the manga, Freeza's return was foreshadowed.
